Welcome back and what an exciting year we have in store! To those families who have been with us over the past few years and to those families new to Ruskin Park Primary, we look forward to working collaboratively with you and your children and offering a comprehensive and challenging learning program designed to meet the needs of all the students entrusted to our care.

The school motto aptly states are raison d’etre which is Rising to the Challenge. The bar for academic expectation is one that we aim to steadily raise each year and our quest is for the positive growth and development of every child as they gain wisdom and a sense of optimism about their skills and abilities, enabling them to willingly become active, contributing citizens who can make a difference.

All staff at Ruskin Park Primary School demonstrate their dedication, care and enthusiasm towards the students, their parents and the community at large by offering not only highly effective and challenging daily lessons, but by organising and participating in numerous extra-curricular clubs and activities such as the school choir, chess club and coaching interschool sports teams. By working collaboratively with parents towards the common goal of academic excellence every child can have opportunities to achieve to their potential. The contributions of all parents in the education of their children, is highly valued and teachers at Ruskin Park Primary School welcome parent classroom helpers and interested families who may wish to join the Families and Friends Club.

As the year progresses, I look forward to meeting all parents and of course, all the children. I invite you to introduce yourselves to me and to call the school at any time and make an appointment should you have concerns or inquiries that may not have been answered by your child’s teacher or other staff.

For those families considering Ruskin Park Primary School as your school of choice, I look forward to meeting all new families and invite you to call the school and arrange for a tour at a mutually convenient time. It is my belief that it takes a community to educate a child. To this end, I am keen to promote a collaborative approach and build an ever stronger collective and individual belief that we have a vibrant and progressive learning community where everyone is valued.
