What's been happening in PE at Ruskin Park

Things have been busy in Phys Ed at Ruskin.

During Term 1 we had our Aths Sports and Green House won narrowly for the first time in four years.

We also had several children represent the school in the Eastern Zone Swimming Championships at Nunawading.

Joel and Quincy the USA stars from the Kilsyth Cobras visited our school in Term One and presented all the Prep children with their own basketball.

Our Year 1/2 chn had their swimming program at the newly opened Croydon Aquatic Centre.

Our Year 5/6 children enjoyed a summer sports round robin day and later on in the term were visited by 2 Richmond AFL footballers Shane Tuck and Jarryd Oakleigh-Nicholls for a leadership talk.

Term 2 sees our Grade 3-6 children involved in the Swimming Program at Kilsyth Pool.

By mid term we will be in training for the cross country at Lilydale Lake and getting ready for Inter School Sport.

The football team will be wearing their brand new jumpers which look a treat.

2009 is a Somers Camp Year and a few of our lucky children will be heading down there in late July for 8 unforgettable days.
